Lucy Parker

In this project the whole of year 2 worked together with Red Earth Theatre to develop a performance for school children, inspired by the book The Red Tree by Shaun Tan. We decided we wanted to make the children feel as if they were following the little girl in the book on her journey through the different worlds of the book's illustrations. We felt that the best way to achieve this was to create an immersive performance and a set that the children could travel through. As we devised this production ourselves I not only got to be a part of the design and construction process, but also wrote the script and acted in the performance itself.
