Lucy Parker

This placement was for Nottingham City Council working with Adrian Davies to create installations for different themed rooms in Newstead Abbey. Each room was based off of a different fairy tale such as the Snow Queen, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Elves and the Shoemaker etc. I created several different pieces for different rooms, the first was a castle for the snow queen's room made of MDF which I textured to look like it was made of brick, ice and snow. Some other pieces I created was the Snow Queen's cabinet, a mouse house, Sleeping Beauty's dress and makeup, Cinderella's makeup and Cinderella's carriage. I also went to Newstead to help with installation and set dressing.
